Your Role  
Senior Pre-Sales Solution Architect, you’ll blend technical depth with business acumen to guide customers in achieving their goals. Your mission is to show them not just what’s possible—but how Nutanix helps them get there faster, smarter, and at scale. 
  • Be the expert and provide advanced guidance on databases, automation, and Nutanix NDB solution to influence decisions and drive adoption. 
  • Elevate conversations and engage with senior technical and business leaders to shape strategy and accelerate opportunities. 
  • Create tailored demos, deliver compelling presentations, and lead POC that has impact. 
  • Partner with marketing and sales to drive pipeline generation through bootcamps, workshops, and enablement activities. 
  • Stay ahead and keep sharp on Nutanix and competitive technologies, ensuring you can confidently position our value. 
  • Build trust and develop strong relationships with customers, channel partners, and alliances that shape the ecosystem. 
  • Contribute to GTM strategies, influence product direction, and create training content to scale expertise. 
  
Experience and technical knowledge - What is expected 
  • 5+ years of experience in a customer-facing pre-sales role, preferred to be database solution related. 
  • Bachelor’s Degree and working knowledge of Information Technology.  
  • Expert-level experience with two of the following: MS SQL, Oracle, MongoDB, MySQL or PostgreSQL (design, sizing, management, backup/DR, migration) or excellent skills of Database lifecycle and automation.  
  • Experience with data management tools from AWS, Microsoft Azure and/or GCP.  
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills—able to inspire confidence from engineers to executives. 
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and follow through with precision. 
  • Proven ability to handle technical discovery, craft proposals, and help close complex deals. 
  • Competitive curiosity—eager to learn Nutanix inside-out and position us confidently against alternatives. 
  • Willingness to travel up to 20% within the India region for customer engagements and events.

This role operates in a hybrid capacity, blending the benefits of remote work with the advantages of in-person collaboration.

Maksim joined Nutanix in 2019 as a Global Solutions Architect and has since taken on various roles, including leadership positions. For the past four years, he has proudly led the APJ Portfolio and Solution Architecture Organization.
